Cookie Policy

Effective June 2026

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use a deliberately small set of cookies and similar technologies (local storage) to run On Paper, remember your preferences, and understand how the product is used. This policy explains what we use and how to control it.

Strictly necessary

These keep you signed in, maintain your secure session, route payments safely, and protect against fraud and abuse. The service cannot function without them, so they cannot be switched off.

Preferences

These remember choices so your experience is consistent across visits and devices — for example your learning progress and view settings. They’re convenience-only and can be cleared anytime.

Analytics

These help us understand which features are used and where the product can improve. We aggregate and minimize this data where we can, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Third parties

Some functionality relies on trusted providers who may set their own cookies when you use their features — notably our payments partner (Stripe) during checkout, and sign-in. Their use of cookies is governed by their own policies.

Managing cookies

You can accept or decline non-essential cookies from the banner shown on your first visit, and change your mind anytime. You can also control or clear cookies in your browser settings — note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may break sign-in and payments.

No selling of data

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use cookies to sell or share it with data brokers.
